/signed for confirm button when crafting armor

/notsigned for armor refunds

If you want to fill up your armor monument in EotN, you should actually have to earn your way to it. I don't like the idea of just refunding one set of armor over and over until you have every set of elite armor to choose for your monument.

I agree we need to know what the armor looks like before we buy it, using a preview window similar to dye. But dude... its not Anets fault you dont check what armor you have already crafted and stupidly craft the same set again!

Just keep your inventory open and you can quite easily see what you have already!

On one hand, armor refunds would solve the storage problem.

On the other, it would make the HoM armor monument useless (not sure that's a bad thing though).

I was really hoping HoM would give us storage for weapons and armor and minipets, but alas, that is not the case.

Ectos would drop to about 500g cus of all the fow refunds . Once you buy an armor you stick with it just like your name and looks. If you make a mistake you get to learn from it, perhaps be more carful in future, in 10 years time you'll think "wow being carful has got me much further than what 15K would have 10 years ago."

10 min refund is good but you cannot place the armor on HoM in the first 10 min you own it. that way if you buy some armor and decide that it looks horrible after a couple of seconds you can get your money back and then buy a different set.

this solves armor preview complaint and the armor double crafy complaint.

I am a programmer. The 1-click buy behavior of merchants would, in my field of work, be widely recognized as a massive and obvious design flaw. You are actively opposing a suggestion to fix that flaw. What possible justification could you have for actively opposing a fix to something that would be widely viewed as a flaw in the user interface of any other computer system?

Anyway, why a time frame refund? Once it's equipped, then you can't refund it (or the confirm button). Simple as that. That would allow for corrections to mistakes. And a preview window would be cool too.

if you could buy by set or individual peice would be nice if you were going to have the pre view window, same kinda goes for dyeing. that would be nice so you could see what those things would look like before you apply it to a piece you can see the affects on all armor or mixed and matched. now that would be kinda nice, having an end game Armor dude that can craft all the elite sets for that campaign. Or havin one you can get in your hall for all the elite sets of armor but you have to beat the game and have a confermation of that which he takes so that you can craft them all. And you can't put it in storage. could kinda work like the festivle hat guy. You would show him the hat and it would be for that char or something instead of the account. That would keep people from getting the endgame armor like Primevil or somethin like that at lvl 1. it would also save with the annoyances of re beating abbadon if you don't have the right materials.

Im a programmer too, and I see nothing wrong with the merchant or crafting system. Just because you personally see it as a design flaw, doesnt mean the vast majority of the programming community will.

Can you find some written proof that such a design mechanism is considered flawed?

We have countless programes on the market, which are used by large multimillion dollar companies which perform actions by a single click of a button.

They dont prompt for confirmation or give you an undo option, yet people use them and they manage! Does that mean those programmes are flawed, or that users need to use common sense before committing to an action?

I would argue its lack of training and common sense! Not the fault of the software!

Not to mention this is a game! Its not a critical important programme which is running the stock-market, keeping a life-support machine running or helping a guy write his Will!

Its just a game and because of that, its not as important to consider all the stupid things users might do. Its only considered an issue because armor is expensive. I notice how people arent bothered about accidently buying a salvage kit instead of an indent kit.

Why? Because those are cheap!

But because its armor, then all hell breaks loose because you re-craft the wrong piece! Because you just stupidly wasted 20k on an armor piece, then OMG it must be Anets fault.

So im sorry, but that is user incompetance and not a major critically important issue.

Adding a confirmation button that already exists isn't that difficult, is it ?

/notsigned, this will ruin the economy for sure. People will have max money in the storage and all characters if they don't spent money buying different armors.
